Surrey Centre for Sport Campaign launched at Wembley Stadium

Wednesday 16 May 2007

Keith Harris, Brendan Foster and Professor Christopher Snowden

The official launch of the Surrey Centre for Sport Campaign was held at Wembley Stadium a fitting venue to share plans for the new state-of-the-art sports complex at the University of Surrey. Campaign Chairman and Surrey graduate, Keith Harris, spoke passionately about the need for such facilities at the University, giving University and local communities, and elite and disabled athletes the opportunity to utilise such facilities.

Guest speaker, Brendan Foster, well known as BBC Sport commentator and Olympic medallist at the Montreal Games in 1976, endorsed the project and encouraged guests to support the Campaign.
