Vicki Hansford wins silver at the World Rowing Championships

Wednesday 12 September 2007

Vicki Hansford Campaign Board Member, Vicki Hansford, along with Great Britain team-mates Naomi Riches, Alan Crowther, Alastair McKean and Alan Sherman, recently won a silver medal at the World Rowing Adaptive Championships in Munich. 16 countries competed in the LTA Mixed 4 event meaning that the team had three tough races in a heat followed by a semi-final and final.

Vicki is now looking forward to working hard to achieve even better success in Beijing. She comments, “I was disappointed to have lost the World Championship title this year and will now concentrate on working even harder over the winter to make sure the Gold medal is ours again in Beijing next year”.

The 2007 World Rowing Championships were the qualifying event for the Olympic Games next year.
